PartyflockDiscogs

Born on the 25th of April 1981 and raised in The Hague, John van Vianen quickly discovered his love for music and wanted to do more than only listen to it. He then started his dj career in 1994 buying his first dj set and only played for friends and fun. After a while this resulted in playing at dj contests, pirate radio stations and his first small gig. Also visiting a lot of gigs in his free time he met people who helped developing his dj skills and also showed him the way inside the scene. He always had in mind that he wanted to make music because it would bring much more fulfillment to the dj-ing process. So it was time for him to take it to the next level.

Enzyme Records was started in 2001 and was becoming a great success with artists like Endymion and Nosferatu as figureheads for the label.Knowing Nosferatu as a friend and for John wanting to make a track him self, it was only a matter of time before they decided to make a track together in Nosferatu’s studio. Finally the track was done after days of hard work and lots of learning. (I think we al know which track was the result). The final outcome of this track was called "Welcome to Nexes". This track made a huge change in the life of John because the track was a big hit and resulted in a contract at Enzyme Records. From that moment on everything was becoming a bit more serious and it was time to change the artist name to "Nexes". Looking at the title of the track it seemed the right thing to do. So ... Nexes it was.

Signing the contract jump-started his career not only as a dj but as producer as well. John invested all his savings in buying a studio so that he could make his own sound. It was in 2003 when Nexes released tracks like: Anticipation on revenge, X-plore and Futuristic Elements. All tracks where produced in his studio. The dj-ing took a professional turn when he was asked to play at gigs such as: Enzyme Incubation, Hardcore Extremis, Hardcore Gladiators, Hardcore 4 Life, Project Hardcore, Decibel, Nature one and Nightmare Outdoor in lands like: Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and many more ... Nexes also did some side releases on top hardcore labels such as Bionic Records and Neophyte Records and these are definitely not his last.

Nowadays he spends almost every night in his studio making music and trying to improve his own style. The music he makes is known for the big atmosphere he puts in to it. He has managed to create his own recognizable style which is already popular inside the scene. His dj-sets are known as diverse and skillful. The excellent record selection, great energy and interaction during his dj-sets will make sure that the temperature rises up a few degrees and give the event, regardless of the size and location a guaranteed 200% hardcore experience which people will not soon forget.

Oh Yeah ... and one last thing!

Give respect, get respect...
